fn slp vs benelli m4

My choice will ultimately be used to shoot slugs at the range and for HD. When it comes to HD shotguns, I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack but I think I've narrowed my choice down between either a Benelli M4 or an FN SLP. I've had the opportunity to handle both but have not shot either one. I have owned both, and incidentally, no longer have either of them. I have an old police turn-in Benelli M1 Super 90. The FN SLP MK1 looks good and should be ready to roll out of the box. Other than the speed and reliability, I also like the fact that M4 is much easier to clean compared to SLP. In a grab one gun and run situation I'd reach for the M4 if only for the fact it will function on just about anything. Only played with m4 Cant go wrong either way. I guess when you add up all the small stuff M4 wins out. What do you guys think of them. The Benelli 11701 Limited Edition M4/M1014 has a fixed skeletonized stock(due to the recoil tube NOT machined for the stock to slide closed).
