ikea hemnes bathroom vanity review

If that's been the case, then you've probably managed to ignore the disarray this whole time. !Wow what a fantastic update, Krista! Not sure I’d love using it for washing my face in a master bathroom. Lovely as it is, I do not recommend the Ikea Hemnes vanity. Thank you so much! So SO happy I saw this! It’s a big powder room – it can take it. Pinning:) have a fabulous day!

My Hemnes vanity swelled horribly with water - I have a slightly messy husband, but I was so cross.

Overall I’m thrilled with everything, but again I took forever to find it all so I better be! oh and a friend gave me that same little anthro hook (with a K) and i love it too!! It’s a I chose not to use the plate at the bottom – I just liked the simpler look without it.

HEMNES bathroom series gives you space for all you need to store and a traditional look in a choice of colours. Love the touches of color in rug and art and knobs. (I read every single one.) Even though I have your original powder room pics pinned, thanks for this in-depth post.

All the deets on the vanity area – I hope that helps with any questions you had.

I love Ikea hacks- heck, I just love Ikea in general! Would look great in our lake house! It was about $90 I think? I see it is still offered at Ikea, but the one measurement I need is not offered online. Did you consider removing the lowered ceiling over the shower?Hi Julia! Thanks to a wide variety of options—from budget-friendly price points to small-space choices to open shelving—IKEA has everything you need for a more organized bathroom. I searched both Lowe’s and Home Depot and couldn’t find what I wanted for under $300 (for both the sink and vanity).

We have been waiting YEARS for this and are all so excited. A little annoying, but it just took a few minutes. Thanks for your kind words! :So the last piece of the puzzle was the mirror, and I think I spent as much time looking for that as I did the vanity! I replaced the IKEA hardware with some knobs from Hobby Lobby: For a hot second I was going to try and paint the vanity, just because I was worried there wouldn't be enough color in there. I just found it while searching for ideas for a Hemnes vanity.Wow!

I just installed the same exact vanity in gray, but with one dilemma: the sink drain and overflow chrome finishes don’t match our brushed nickel fixtures. We actually didn’t – and we also didn’t get a new tub. Being such a small room having a vanity up off the floor makes the room look far less heavy. What fun!I got that from Target but it was a year or two ago? Maybe I can try to wash my face in the showroom on Wednesday to make sure it's OK for the master bath:)Hi Sarah, I love the look of that bathroom vanity and think it would work perfectly in my current bath remodel. The GREAT thing about these drawers (other than the cutie stripes) is that they are soft close. They were great helpers for a while (attention spans, you know!). You just have to get a “one hole” faucet.PS this isn’t my website.

I’m taking the rest of the week off for the July Fourth holiday, have a lovely weekend and God Bless the USA!

I used an IKEA vanity top / sink combination in a bathroom where I built my own cabinet. I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate for her age so we never watched it. !I love this renovation–and for less than $1,500 is amazing! ;) The sink is lovely and pretty – but really shallow. (I pined it here: pinterest.com/twopluscute/bathrooms-their-accessories)Thank you! I want you to use and copy my ideas!

We are wanting to get this for a duplex we purchased and wonder about durablity once we start renting it out.I LOVE this…the room, the style, the color!! We’ve been super happy with our GODMORGON vanity in our master bathroom, so we decided that a slightly smaller IKEA unit would be the obvious choice for the garden unit.

I'm doing an unplanned redo of my hall bath and was thinking of going with the Hemnes vanity. It's held up great! :) I love that faucet! I promised a more detailed post on the vanity area and that’s what we have today. Good luck with your project:)Your bathroom looks great by the way. :) I LOVE your comments, thank you! Soooo, after a moment of panic, thinking I would have to drive the four hour round trip to IKEA to get a faucet that worked because Lowe’s guy kept telling us they didn’t sell one hole bathroom faucets…I finally spotted one: It was GORGEOUS. I love love love it! I couldn’t really tell from your pictures, but were you able to find a color match to your fixtures? This person found a faucet with a different finish at her local building supply store.

Perfect for organising your bathroom in style, no matter what size it is. I'm going to put it on a dimmer sometime soon. And I think it’s just perfect in there! Are they the only lights you have in the room? We’ve had a pedestal sink in there all this time and I was ready for something more substantial. They were all brand new and I love every one. I suppose in any case, I could affix decorative block or something to each of the front legs to raise it up an inch or two as well if needed. Do you have any fun plans for the holiday weekend? (I’m sure a more expensive one would have a way to keep the mirror at a certain angle.

Love the new knobs! What a great idea! Thanks!how did the sink hold up?

Originally I had planned to find an old dresser and transform it with a sink, but I couldn't find what I wanted.

Very impressive! Have a pedestal sink I owuld like to get rid of too!

The Ikea Vanity requires that you select a faucet with one hole, so we topped the vanity with the The vanity light is from the Archie collection from Home Depot Canada, and the vanity is the 42″ white Hemnes vanity from Ikea. With two or four drawer cabinets available in multiple colors, plus modular options to match with various bathroom sink and faucet … soooo pretty - love the rug too! )Sooooo…I took it back to HD and ended up with a pretty, I ended up with this one because it’s the only oval mirror that had a cleat on the back – so you don’t see any of the hanging hardware. Bummer dude.
