Perfect for a weekend getaway read!I've had this on my shelf to read for what seems like forever. Virgin River is an American romance drama web television series, produced by Reel World Management, based on the Virgin River novels by Robyn Carr.The first season premiered on Netflix on December 6, 2019. The romance between Mel and Jack progressed realistically and the sense of community in the town was enviable. You see the characters from it in Book 1, so there is a connection. However, 2 books into the series I was already feeling a restless urge to move on. I can't come up with a single cliché that this romance has. Second Chance Pass 6. Jack is a wonderful man for Mel, because although he is in love with her and thinks about her all the time, he also understands that she still has feelings for her deceased husband. Many women in the town are comforted by her nursing skills to deliver their babies.The next main character is obviously Jack, a 40 year old retired marine. Forbidden Falls 10. Books! That’s fine, I don’t even mind that but this one wasn’t like that at all, it even went a little dark and I’m here for that! Pretty soon Chloe has her fingers wrapped around Mel's heart and she decides to stay, "just until a good home is found for her." That's probably partially because just before that I'd been reading a Lora Leigh book (so completely different) and also because the vibe of Virgin River is rather different than your typical romance novel.Virgin River is a series that I’ve been planning to read forever and with the release of the show on Netflix I finally read the first book, and you guys I LOVED it!
