xfi pods not connecting
All devices on the network are connected to Gateway, regardless of how far away from the router they are or how close to the pods they are. Requires Xfinity Internet subscription with a compatible Xfinity xFi Gateway. No devices are connecting to the pods. When I told him he gave me the same story that they were not trained on the xFi pods and shoe could not help me . If this will not work, what solution do you suggest to extend the wireless to a disconnected building where it is impossible to chain the Pods wirelessly? I have a Cat7/Cat6 network and had my own Arris Surfboard router/modem before switching.
I just installed the Xfinity XG1 v4.A Xfi DVR and 3 Xi6 WiFi devices.

Also, after the first call to xFinity support, they told me to exchanged the pods which I did but still no luck getting the pods to connect. Not available in all areas.

The ethernet port on the xFi Pod is not disabled. The pods were able to do this and I had set them up by daisy chaining them a little. Got 2 WiFi cable boxes months ago which immediately had issues and a tech came out, determined the older router was to blame and replaced with a newer XFi router.
